Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in Chicago to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Qualified applicants typically have a high school diploma and prior retail or service experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Flexible shifts and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail or similar settings preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operating documents.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
