Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Chicago is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires strong customer service, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
