Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, keep the store stocked, and help unload merchandise from trucks.

The role requires good customer service, ability to follow instructions, and physical stamina to lift 30–50 lbs. A high school diploma is preferred and the position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a friendly, professional approach for all

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
