Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. The role involves assisting customers, handling transactions, stocking, unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and maintaining a safe, clean store while upholding friendly interactions.

Part-time, NC location; prior retail or service experience is preferred; ability to lift 30–50 lbs required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, stooping, etc.).
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
