Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in North Cape May, NJ is seeking a part-time Retail Clerk to assist customers, manage transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and organized.

You will receive merchandise, unload trucks, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and team members. The role requires strong customer service, reliability, and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environments.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
