Job summary

Family Dollar in Albany, OH is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience for every customer.

You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage transactions at the register, and help with stocking and store upkeep to keep shelves neat.

This role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; prior retail or service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Willingness to help with stocking and store upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restrooms.
• Other duties as assigned.
