Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Newport, PA part-time sales associate role. You will receive merchandise, unload trucks, stock shelves, and assist with store cleanliness and safety. You’ll handle transactions at the register and help customers with friendly, professional service.

The position requires basic math, strong communication, and reliable teamwork. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with a positive attitude and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.
• High level of integrity required.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight safely according to productivity standards.
• Merchandising and stocking as needed.
• Assisting with cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets.
• Other duties as assigned.
