Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly, helpful shopping experience. You will assist customers, answer questions, and process transactions at the cash register while maintaining store security and a clean environment.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will help with stocking, merchandise receiving, and ensuring safety and neatness throughout the store, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned*.
