Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is looking for a Customer Service Associate to join our Staples, Minnesota store. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and help keep the store organized and stocked.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional customer interactions and adherence to store policies. The position is part-time and requires the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver a positive shopping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness of all areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
