Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Sanford, NC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers with questions and recommendations, process transactions at the register, and contribute to a safe, organized store environment.

You will assist with stocking, merchandising, unloading trucks, and restocking merchandise while maintaining cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a safe, positive environment for customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
