Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience at our Rowland, NC store. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep shelves stocked and the store clean.

The role involves unloading trucks, restocking, and maintaining store safety and professionalism. The position is part-time, requires basic customer service skills, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting activities.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating a cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
