Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC in Lumberton, NC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

Responsibilities include managing cash registers, receiving merchandise, restocking floors, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment. The role emphasizes teamwork with associates and leadership to ensure excellent service throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a clean, safe and presentable store environment, including bathrooms.
