Job summary

Dollar Tree in Hobart, IN is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to support daily store operations and deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow within a nationwide discount

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned
