Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Virginia LLC in Farmville, VA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, and manage sales transactions at the cash register.

Responsibilities include maintaining cash security, keeping the store well-stocked, stocking merchandise, receiving shipments, and upholding a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restock bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
