Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our Edwardsville store. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, maintain cash security, and ensure shelves are stocked and merchandise is replenished.

The role emphasizes friendly, professional interactions, store cleanliness, and safety. Part-time hours may apply, with responsibilities expanding as needed by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
