The TJX Companies, Inc. in Portland, TX is seeking a dedicated store associate to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience, maintain a clean, organized store, and support daily operations across departments.

You will engage customers, promote credit and loyalty programs, accurately process purchases and returns, and help ensure merchandise is well displayed and stocked on the floor.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to adapt to changing directions or tasks.
• Physically able to lift heavy objects if needed.
• Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to procedures.
• Maintains merchandising philosophy and follows procedures.
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the sales floor.
• Supports safety and loss prevention programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
