Job summary

Family Dollar in Michigan is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and safe.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and a dependable work ethic. Part-time with flexible hours; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
