Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain store standards at the Saint Martinville location. You will help unload trucks, replenish stock, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with prior retail or service experience preferred. Candidates must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
