Job summary

Dollar Tree in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, manage transactions, stock shelves, and ensure store cleanliness while following store policies.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, with physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent walking/standing. Part-time position based in Santa Fe Springs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions on the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness across the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
