Job summary

Dollar Tree in Redwood City, CA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe.

You will need strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will work with associates and leaders to maintain a welcoming environment and protect company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating a cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including restrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned
