Job summary

Family Dollar in Philadelphia, Mississippi is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires customer service experience, the ability to lift 30–50 lbs, and strong communication and organizational skills. The position emphasizes friendly, professional interactions and store safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
