Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Paragould, AR. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help maintain stock and store upkeep. The role emphasizes friendly service, safety, and asset protection in a fast-paced retail setting.

We value candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience. Physical effort including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and general tidiness
• Perform other duties as assigned
