Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team in Arkansas. The role focuses on delivering a great shopping experience, assisting customers, handling transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels.

Responsibilities include operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, unloading trucks, and ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. Part-time position with opportunities to grow within the store network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment according to productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
