Job summary

Family Dollar in Palmetto, GA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to create a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions at the register, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and safe while remaining friendly and professional.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience; strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required for this part-time role.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
