Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Monroe, NC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers, process transactions, and keep the store inviting.

You will assist customers, stock shelves, unload shipments, and maintain a safe, friendly shopping environment while following store procedures.

This role requires teamwork, good communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; flexible schedules may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent movement.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
