Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Team Member to deliver exceptional customer service, stock and merchandise displays, and operate cash registers in a fast-paced Houston store. You will maintain a clean, safe shopping environment and assist with merchandising and restocking according to planograms.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and cash handling skills, with the ability to work across multiple registers and assist customers at self-checkout as needed.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and operation manuals.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Ability to stock and display merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer's expectations.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights our customers.
• Assist in merchandising the store in a manner that is appealing to customers and retains customer excitement to shop at popshelf.
• Operate cash registers and scanners to itemize and total purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Assist customers in self-checkout at multiple register terminals.
• Follow company SOPs and Employee Handbook.
