Job summary

Family Dollar in Hawley, PA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help customers, handle purchases at the register, and keep the store clean and well-stocked. You will unload merchandise, stock replenishment, and maintain safety and courtesy. Part-time hours; HS diploma preferred; prior retail or service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; restock as needed
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash
• Perform other duties as assigned
