Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience at 130 N Reading Rd, Ephrata, PA 17522. You’ll assist customers, handle sales transactions, stock shelves, and help unload merchandise while upholding safety and store standards.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required; experience in retail or customer service is preferred. Candidates must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and pushing.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and restock merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Keep areas clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
