Job summary

Family Dollar in New Castle, PA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to help customers and maintain a welcoming store environment. You will assist with questions, handle sales at the register, stock shelves, and help unload shipments.

This role requires excellent communication, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, and duties include keeping the store clean and safe for customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and meet demands of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain store cleanliness and stock merchandise; restock as needed.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
