Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level Team Member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to services provided by our store, product handling, and customer service. Team Members enjoy interacting with people and delivering “above and beyond” service.

The role involves assisting customers, stocking, cleaning, and supporting various departments. This position supports an inclusive retail environment with flexibility and opportunities for advancement within the Meijer family.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail is required.
• Strong listening and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
