Job summary

AGUA CALIENTE CASINO RANCHO MIRAGE seeks a retail department coordinator to oversee staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and manage inventory. You will process purchases, update pricing, and help coordinate promotions and displays across casino retail outlets.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 6 months to 1 year of cashiering/guest services experience. Light to moderate physical tasks and standing are involved in a casino environment.

Qualifications

• Must have good computer skills and be able to quickly learn retail software programs.
• Prior cashiering/guest services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of workers in the retail department.
• Provide excellent guest service and familiarize with inventory.
• Perform monthly inventory, process purchase requisitions, enter retail data, and price merchandise.
• Record deliveries, compare with orders, report discrepancies to control costs.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYCoordinates activities of workers in department of retail stores by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)Provides excellent guest serviceBe familiar with the inventory.Responsible for monthly inventory, completing purchase requisitions, entering retail information into computer and applying prices.Records delivery of merchandise, compares records with merchandise ordered, and reports discrepancies to control costs and maintain correct inventory level.Inspects merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced.Recommends additions to or deletions of merchandise to be sold in department.Take orders over the phone and mail via UPS adding shipping charges to bill amount and charging credit cards appropriately.Coordinates sales promotions activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays and advertising copy.GAMING EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIREDQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Also may be subjected to a smoke filled environment.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
