Job summary

Federal Realty Investment Trust, headquartered in Tysons Corner, McLean, VA, seeks a Project Manager, Construction and Tenant Services to lead landlord/tenant design, permitting and construction within an assigned portfolio of properties.

The role requires coordinating with tenants, architects, consultants and contractors, managing budgets, schedules and lease deliverables while communicating status to stakeholders and ensuring compliance with lease terms and company standards.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of tenant coordination and/or project/construction management experience
• Experience with design and construction of retail properties
• Experience with design and construction coordination and project management
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred
• PMP and LEED AP preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Drives landlord and tenant design, permitting and construction to achieve best rent commencement dates.
• Gathers information required by leasing to market tenant spaces.
• Manages and coordinates construction projects from conceptual estimating through project close out.
• Coordinates with Federal Realty departments, consultants, tenants, and 3rd party managers.
• Creates and coordinates conceptual estimates for lease budget purposes.
• Drafts and reviews construction exhibits for Leasing or Legal.
• Reviews and approves Landlord and Tenant construction drawings.
• Regular reporting of status for all work in process.
• Oversees and delivers all new lease required Landlord’s work.
• Coordinates with Legal, Leasing, Asset Management and Development on delivery terms.
• Troubleshoots design and construction issues.
• Provides scheduling and planning information to internal departments
