Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee new store construction and remodels across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and neighboring states. You will coordinate with landlords, architects, general contractors, and planning departments to keep projects on schedule and within budgets.

You’ll travel as needed to perform quality assurance checks and work across TJX brands to support TJMaxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Homesense, Sierra, Winners, and TK Maxx stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of construction project management experience.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Project experience.
• Basic construction management software abilities (Lucernex).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have thorough knowledge of construction trades, building codes and building methods.
• Strong project management skills from planning to occupancy.
• Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work in ambiguity.
• Ability to think strategically and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain New Store Construction Progress schedule with landlords, architects, GCs and Planning Dept.
• Construct manage of new stores: track deals, push to schedule, resolve issues, value engineering and QA.
• Construct management of remodels and special projects in stores; ensure schedules, flow of communications, safety and quality.
• Provide construction updates to Construction Department and Field Operations Teams.
• Travel as needed for progress and QA checks.
• Handle budget and change orders.
• Support store operations in timing to access new stores and remodels; maintenance and warranty items.
• Coordinate communication up and down the chain to ensure all have information on projects.
• Review preliminary and final construction documents for adherence to plans.
