Job summary

Brixmor, based in Orlando, FL, is seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager to lead retail development projects. You will supervise tenant improvements, redevelopment initiatives, and select ground-up work across company-owned shopping centers, coordinating with national retailers, architects, and contractors.

You will manage multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and lease commitments, with regular regional travel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial retail construction.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in owner/developer/retail environments.
• Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and contract administration.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of retail construction projects.
• Serve as primary construction partner for tenants from lease execution to store opening.
• Manage landlord work and tenant improvement projects to meet lease obligations on time and budget.
• Coordinate with retailers to support project delivery and store openings.
• Review lease exhibits and provide budgeting and constructability input during negotiations.
• Manage due diligence, including design review, permitting, entitlements, and consultant coordination.
• Oversee bid solicitation, contractor selection, and project procurement.
• Direct architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure quality and milestones.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward.
• Collaborate with Property Management, Leasing, Development, Legal, and Finance teams.
