Job summary

Brixmor Property Group is seeking a Project Manager, Construction in Orlando, FL to oversee a diverse portfolio of retail development and redevelopment projects across the South region. Based in our Orlando office, you will manage tenant improvements, capital projects, and select ground-up initiatives, coordinating with national retailers and internal teams to deliver on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial retail construction.
• Experience managing multiple projects in owner/developer/retail environments.
• Knowledge of retail tenant buildouts, landlord work, and store opening requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of retail construction projects, including tenant improvements and redevelopment.
• Serve as primary construction partner for tenants from lease execution through store opening.
• Manage landlord work and tenant improvement projects to ensure lease obligations are met on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with retailers to support project delivery and store openings.
• Review and negotiate construction-related lease exhibits and provide budgeting input during lease negotiations.
• Manage due diligence, design review, permitting, and consultant coordination.
• Oversee bid solicitation, contractor selection, and contract negotiations.
• Direct architects, engineers, and contractors to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward.
• Collaborate with Property Management, Leasing, Development, Legal, and Finance teams.
