Job summary

Brixmor is seeking a Project Manager, Construction in Orlando, FL to lead retail development and redevelopment projects across the South region. You will oversee tenant improvements, capital improvements, and ground-up work across shopping centers, coordinating with national retailers, architects, and contractors.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and lease-related deliverables, travel regionally, and ensure projects are on time, within budget, and aligned with lease commitments and company

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial retail construction with tenant improvements.
• Experience managing multiple projects for owner/developer/retail settings.
• Strong knowledge of retail tenant buildouts, landlord work, and store openings.
• Experience coordinating with national/regional retailers in occupied centers.
• Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, contract admin.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in construction management software and MS Office.
• AutoCAD knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to travel across the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of retail construction projects.
• Serve as primary partner for tenants from lease to store opening.
• Manage landlord work and tenant improvements to meet lease obligations.
• Coordinate with retailers to support project delivery and openings.
• Review and negotiate lease exhibits and provide budgeting input.
• Manage due diligence: design review, permitting, entitlements, coordination.
• Oversee bid solicitation, contractor selection, and contract negotiations.
• Direct architects, engineers, contractors to meet quality and budget goals.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions.
• Partner with Property Management, Leasing, Development, Legal, Finance.
• Support capital improvements and redevelopment projects.
• Maintain regular stakeholder updates and reporting.
