Qualifications

We’re looking for a Retail Community Events Specialist to join our team! The Retail Community Events Specialist is responsible for coordinating the operation of GSNI’s Build A Bear Shop, and assisting with GSNI mobile events and store coverage

Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) with flexibility Salary:$18/hour to start, non-exempt

Remote: No, this is an in-person position

We’re looking for dedicated individuals who:

  • Believe in the Girl Scout Mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
  • Are excited to be actively involved in giving girls the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values to become leaders in their own lives and their communities.

Interested? Responsibilities would include:

  • Coordinate scheduling, planning for, and leading Build A Bear (BAB) events and parties
  • Coordinate scheduling and implementing travel store events throughout the council area
  • Assists with ordering and maintaining merchandise selection and inventory for BAB and other inventory items
  • Assists with inventory control processes: completion of transfer paperwork, backorder tracking, shipment receiving, and damages tracking
  • Rings-up sales, restocks merchandise, and creates in-store displays

Are these skills and experience you could share with our team?

  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Outstanding customer service/people skills
  • Ability to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week; some weekends and evenings required
  • Travel/work in different locations required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and carrying
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience preferred
