Job summary

Texas Health Resources’ Specialty & Retail Pharmacy in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Retail Clinical Pharmacist to join a high-intensity environment with opportunities for growth. The role involves prescription verification, POS operations, and coordinating delivery to patients, while providing clinical services for safe patient care.

The position requires a PharmD or Doctor of Pharmacy, a pharmacy degree, and strong English communication skills, with retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• PharmD required.
• CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
• PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.
• 2 years of previous Retail Pharmacy experience highly preferred.
• 3 years of hospital experience or residency preferred.
• Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively, building positive professional relationships and role modeling teamwork.
• Complete prescription verification process along with selling the prescription through point of sale and arrange delivery/shipping to patient.
• Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.
• Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.
• Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation.
• Support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives.
• Ongoing professional development and growth.
• Minimize pharmaceutical costs and discover new process efficiencies; manage time effectively.
