Job summary

TJ Maxx in Derby, KS is seeking a team member to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience while keeping a clean and organized store. You will engage with customers, support merchandising standards, and follow loss prevention guidelines.

This role requires strong customer service, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You may assist across departments, participate in credit/loyalty programs, and contribute to a positive store culture.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to operating procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and follows merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery throughout the day; maintains cleanliness and organization of the sales floor.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Supports and participates in shrink reduction programs and safety initiatives.
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
