Job summary

Macerich seeks a Social Media Coordinator to create, edit, and manage short-form video content for assigned properties. You will film on-location, post real-time during events, and drive engagement across TikTok and Instagram while coordinating with on-site teams.

Ideal candidates have proven content creation skills, strong video editing ability, and a deep understanding of Gen Z trends. This is an on-site, 24–29 hour schedule with a 6-month initial term and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated content creation ability with 2,000–5,000 views per video and 4–10% engagement.
• At least 70% of the audience resides in the target state where the position is located.
• Comfortable being on camera while representing the center and brand.
• Familiarity with Gen Z trends and digital content creation.
• Part-time university students are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Capture on-site content during openings and events and publish in real time.
• Edit TikToks/IG Reels with on-brand captions and text overlays.
• Plan and execute a monthly content calendar across platforms.
• Monitor comments and DMs, flag urgent inquiries to the mall team.
• Maintain a daily posting cadence: min 3 Stories and 1 feed post.
