Job summary

Macerich is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to create, edit, and manage short-form video content for their properties. On-site filming, posting, and collaboration with the marketing team and tenants will drive brand awareness and foot traffic.

The ideal candidate has proven content creation skills with strong engagement metrics and proficiency in video editing software, with a focus on Gen Z audiences. This is a 6-month initial term with potential extension based on business needs.

Qualifications

• 2,000–5,000 views per video on average
• 4–10% engagement rate (likes, comments, shares)
• 70% of audience located in the target state
• Comfortable being on camera and representing the center
• Familiarity with Gen Z and local youth trends
• Part-time university students encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Capture content at store openings, activations and events on site.
• Edit short-form video content (TikTok/IG Reels) with captions and overlays.
• Publish content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook with a consistent cadence.
• Monitor comments and DMs; escalate urgent inquiries to mall team.
• Create monthly content calendars and monthly recaps of performance.
