Job summary

Macerich is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to create, edit, and manage short-form video content for assigned properties, including filming at openings and activations. The role focuses on TikTok and Instagram Reels to boost brand awareness and foot traffic.

You will work with the on-site Marketing Manager and tenants to publish real-time content, maintain posting cadence, and analyze monthly analytics. On-site, 24–29 hours/week, 6-month term with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated content creation ability with averages of 2,000–5,000 views per video and 4–10% engagement across last 15 posts.
• Must have at least 70% of audience residing in the target state where the position is located.
• Comfortable being on camera and representing the center and brand.

Responsibilities

• Film and photograph store openings, activations, and events.
• Publish content in real time during events and openings.
• Edit short-form video content for TikTok/IG Reels with captions and overlays.
• Maintain a daily posting cadence: at least 3 Stories and 1 feed post across platforms.
• Monitor trends and coordinate with on-site team to calendar content.
