Job summary

The JM Smucker Company seeks a Manager, Category Analytics - Walmart & Sam’s in Bentonville, AR. You will lead category growth opportunities, provide insights for JBP and shopper-based activations, and act as the go-to category expert supporting sales teams.

Hybrid work arrangement with at least 2 days onsite weekly, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on data-driven storytelling to optimize shelf, pricing and promotions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 6+ years in CPG.
• 3+ years Category Management or Shopper Insights experience.
• Proven success building relationships with retailers.
• Experience analyzing shopper/consumer data (Circana, Nielsen, POS).
• Strong analytical skills and storytelling with data.
• Cross-functional collaboration with sales and marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Planogramming experience with common tools.
• Ability to translate insights into actions and plans.
• Willingness to travel up to 20–25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead category growth strategies and retailer-specific programs.
• Own shelving/assortment and support price/promo decisions.
• Provide insights for JBP, QBRs and annual planning.
• Develop customer-ready stories and data-driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and HQ category teams.
• Analyze buyer and shopper data to inform activation at retail.
• Support omni-channel activation and category execution.
• Participate in retailer meetings and strategic reviews.
