Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking friendly cashiers to deliver fast, accurate service in a busy store setting. You will balance transactions, assist customers, and help maintain clean, safe spaces around the store and fueling area.

No previous experience is required; training is provided. This role offers a flexible schedule, team-based environment, and opportunities to cross-train in Restaurant Services and other departments.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and provide friendly service.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train across departments.
• Ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds and work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, answer questions, and help locate items.
• Balance a cash register and process transactions while promoting add-on sales.
• Ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
• Clean and maintain the working area, sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and manage trash removal.
• Cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
