Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring friendly cashiers to join our fast-paced store environment in Ohio. We train those without experience and offer a welcoming team culture.

As a cashier, you will handle transactions, assist customers, and maintain clean facilities. The role may require lifting, working in varied temperatures, and occasional cross-training in related departments. Join us to grow with a family-owned company with long-standing community ties.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide friendly, accurate service to customers.
• Experience in handling cash and operating a register preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding items and answering questions.
• Balance cash register and process transactions.
• Maintain food safety and clean work area across the store and deli.
• Perform cleaning of sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and back-of-house areas.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.

They may perform various duties depending on business needs so flexibility and teamwork skills are important. No experience? No problem. We will teach you!

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
