Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Dayton, OH is hiring cashiers to join our fast-paced team. No experience needed—we'll train you and provide a pathway to growth with benefits including tuition assistance, PTO, flexible scheduling, a 401(k) match, and affordable medical/dental/vision coverage.

As a cashier, you will handle transactions, assist customers, maintain clean spaces, and work with a friendly team in a safety-focused environment. You may cross-train in other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions.
• Balancing a cash register and processing transactions while following laws.
• Use various methods to ensure proper food safety conditions of fresh food and deli products.
• Clean and maintain the work area, sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and trash runs.
• Cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, and Maintenance.
• Lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
