Pay Range: $17.06 to $17.06

Responsibilities

1. Greet guests, answer questions, and assist whenever and wherever possible
2. Interacts with customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner
3. Process sales and returns with point of sale system, accept payment and bag merchandise
4. Maintain records related to sales
5. Routinely stock merchandise and maintain back-stock
6. Complies with cash handling, sanitation and safety requirements
7. Maintains a clean and safe work environment
8. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Previous experience in retail or customer service environment preferred
2. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
3. Ability to accurately handle money and count change

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
2. Ability to stand for entire length of shift
3. Ability to climb stairs and step stool frequently
4. Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish merchandise and operate point-of-sale system
5. Majority of time spent in indoor, climate controlled environment of retail store

Work Schedule

Weekdays, 8 hour shifts, Monday - Sunday

Summary

Obtains or receives merchandise, totals bills, accepts payment and makes change for customers in retail store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Stocks shelves, counters and tables with merchandise.
2. Sets up advertising displays and arranges merchandise to promote sales.
3. Stamps, marks or tags prices on merchandise.
4. Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
5. Answers customers' questions about location, price and use of merchandise.
6. Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
7. Wraps and bags merchandise.
8. Totals merchandise price and tax to determine final bill amount.
9. Accepts payment and makes change.
10. Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift.
11. Keeps record of sales, prepares inventory and orders merchandise.
12. Complies with sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
13. Maintains clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
