Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is hiring a part-time Cashier in Springfield, MO. You will check out merchandise at the POS, greet customers, and provide friendly service. You’ll identify needs, make product recommendations, and promote CLUB Membership and in-store pickup, while maintaining shelves when not scanning items.

The role emphasizes accurate cash handling, effective communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced outdoor retail environment. Previous POS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers and customers.
• Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Check out customers' merchandise through POS registers.
• Identify customer needs and make product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Stock and straighten shelves and pegs when not ringing up product.
