Job summary

Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking a friendly cashier to join our store team in Torrance. You will operate the front-counter POS, assist customers, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

Key duties include greeting customers, handling cash, answering inquiries, and promoting add-on sales while keeping the sales floor organized and well-stocked. E-Verify may be required, with eligibility for a flexible schedule and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational and/or math skills.
• Detail-oriented and reliable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus.

Role Overview

Cashiers play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experience. The primary responsibilities include operating and managing the front counter point-of-sale (POS) system while ensuring asmoothpleasant shopping experience for every customer.

Primary Duties

• Provide excellent customer service by welcoming andassistingcustomers during entry and exit, ensuring a positive shopping experience
