Job summary

Big 5 Sporting Goods is hiring a cashier at our Ballard location. You will play a central role at the front counter, operating the POS system and ensuring a smooth, friendly shopping experience for every customer.

You’ll assist with product recommendations, handle cash, and keep the sales floor clean and organized. Ideal candidates are 18+, with strong communication skills, basic math, and a customer-first attitude.

Role Overview

Cashiers play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experience. The primary responsibilities include operating and managing the front counter point-of-sale (POS) system while ensuring asmoothpleasant shopping experience for every customer.

Primary Duties

• Provide excellent customer service by welcoming andassistingcustomers during entry and exit, ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Direction of sales associates using the PA system

Position Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
